Henrik Sedin poised to claim NHL scoring title as Ovechkin blanked in final game(news)

Henrik Sedin is on the verge of becoming the new National Hockey League scoring champion, the first in Vancouver Canuck franchise history.

Henrik finished his 2009-10 season Saturday night with 112 points, and by midday Sunday it was clear Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin couldn't catch him for the prestigious Art Ross Trophy,But Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who needed an improbable eight points in his final game to take the title, is making a late charge for the Art Ross Sunday afternoon. The Penguins captain has two goals and two assists so far against the Islanders.Ovechkin needed three points to reel Henrik in but was held pointless by a Boston Bruins team resting its top defenceman Zdeno Chara, its top goalie Tuukka Rask and top forwards Patrice Bergeron and Mark Recchi.Henrik had entered the weekend one point behind Ovechkin but regained the lead with a spectacular four-assist effort in Vancouver's 7-3 finale against the Calgary Flames.“I was just happy to be up there going into the final weekend of the season,” Henrik said. “I felt that would have been good enough. Obviously I'm proud of what our team has done and what our line has done so from now on everything is a bonus.”Henrik, modest to a fault, admitted he was almost embarrassed when he received a number of terrific ovations Saturday night from the sellout crowd at GM Place. Henrik also established a new club record for points in a season, surpassing Pavel Bure's mark of 110 set 17 years ago.“The crowd was great, I don't know what to say,” Henrik commented. “I'm not someone who wants to stand up there or wants to have the attention on me but it was great to hear.” With nothing else at stake for the Canucks on Satuday, head coach Alain Vigneault gave Henrik an extraordinary amount of ice time, playing him 25:24, which was six minutes above his season average.“Obviously it was a very special night for him and his teammates,” Vigneault said. “The focus was on the scoring race more than anything else and it was fun to see.”“Everyone was pulling for Henrik,” added captain Roberto Luongo. “He had a great year and he worked extremely hard. It was one of the best seasons I've ever seen from a teammate.”

What can you do to improve your brain

It is easy to improve our brain. First, we can do morning exercises to make our brain wake up. Our brain can get fresh air and make brain relax. Second, try to remember things. Sometimes you want to remember the name of a song that is playing or the name of an old acquaintance that passed by. It is right there, on the tip of your tongue, but you can't remember it. What would you normally do in such situation? Probably ask some nearby friend for the name, and upon the revelation you will even shout marveled, "Oh yeah! That is it." The next time this happens force yourself to remember that name. The brain can be stimulated just like your muscles and the more you exercise it the stronger it will get. Do not limit yourself to remembering names. Are you calling your mother to get the phone number of your uncle? Forget pen and paper - you can memorize it. Try to look at the keyboard of your phone in order to create a mental picture of what the sequence of numbers looks like. Third, do not smoke and drink as soon as possible. Both smoking and drinking make brain doesn’t work. It can be hurt brain; therefore, we should improve understanding among doctors and nurses about the links between heavy drinkers, heavy smoker and damage to the nervous system. Indeed, there are several ways to improve your brain.
One of the reason from below.

These are men(late)

Compare men from China and America, we can see three similar characteristics. The first one is what gift they will get. American meals always get book and balls when they were young. Similarly, Chinese boy often got book and balls for those birthdays. I remember when I was two-year-old boy my birthday gift was a story book written by Andersen. The second is which games they do like to play. American meals like to play balls such as basketball, football, badminton and volleyball. Likewise, Chinese meals also like play balls. Even I don’t like those sports which have much body collision in there; I also like play badminton whit my friends. The last characteristic is problems with communicating. American men would like to use map and find way and not ask for others. In much the same way, Chinese men also use their maps and don’t like ask others. When I was graduated from high school, my father drove mother and me to have a long-distance travel. We were trapped on the highway at least eight hours because my father can’t find the export and he didn’t want to ask other drivers. In conclusion, no matter men are in America or People’s Republic of China, they almost have similarly characteristics in many different areas.

nonprofit organization(late)

I recognized that there are three differences between two famous nonprofit organizations---Doctor without Borders (MSF) and Red Cross. First of all, the way they get money. When MSF realized it needs funds they started to use the kinds of fund-raising techniques used in American political campaigns. However, Red Cross relies on public donations, corporate partnerships and donations as well as government funding for specific programs. Second, the way they do their relief. From the first step to the last one MSF will do their job all by themselves. It sends out a team to evaluate the medical and nutritional needs of the people in that area, and then the team sends information to the operational office. The operational office makes the final decision to start the mission. Nevertheless, even though Red Cross is not a part of the government, it also works with federal, provincial and municipal governments to provide services. The last one, they have different organizational structures. MSF just have one director each branch. On the other hand, Red Cross has many different levels to operate the huge organization. In conclusion, even MSF and Red Cross are all nonprofit organizations; they have many different in working for people.

Summary of “Are We Really Influenced”(Late)

In the presentation “Are We Really Influenced”, Joseph Weishar tells us the right design can turn a browser into a buyer. At the beginning of the presentation Joseph Weishar tells us about control over. If the store has a right design, then they can sell whatever they want to sell. The second part is attention to store design increasing. That part gives us some data as examples. The third part is about science of store design. It says that when you walk in a store and turn right 80% of the time. The fourth part is wide aisles equal high prices. Using luxury retailer Bergdorf Goodman as an example to tell us the spacious look helps persuade customers to buy the high-priced goods. The fifth part is high-profile success stores. It’s talk about why Gap and Disney store are successful. Using examples to prove how important design is.

My Sister's Terrible Day

Yesterday, my aunt made a lot of things for lunch. After lunch we wanted to go shopping. My sister thought that my mum too tired to drive, so she had suggestion that she wanted to drive instead of my aunt. We agree with her. When my sister saw no car on the stop sign, she didn’t stop steadily. After she turned right, the police car follows to her. And warn to her stop car beside the street. When she saw police man, she realized that she forgot to take driver license. She wanted to explain, but police man is not care. The man said “you don’t stop steadily on stop sign firstly, and then you don’t have drive license.” He asked some information to my sister. Before he go, he give a ticket to my sister. It is a fine. $210 should my sister pay. My sister felt disappoint. In that day, I bought a new shoes and new cloth; my sister bought a fine.

The inflence of Toys on Children

I believe that the toys can influence our children for several ways. From Interactions 2 page 154. First, the expert thinks that different kinds of toys influence our children. For example, parents usually give gender-stereotyped toys to their children. A boy gets a car that he can take apart and put back together. For instance, a girl gets a toy grocery store. The type of talk depends on the toy the child is playing with. A toy grocery store naturally involves more conversation. Both are evidence to support toys can influence our children. Second, if you give boy a doll when they child, how about his personality? His personality looks like girl? I think so, but not at all. If you do the homework for Interaction 2 page 208, you can realize the genes influence our personality. Sometimes it is by environment. Third, Toy is not always good for us. I think computer is one of the toys. It can destroy our life. For example, someone always play computer on their free time. Some crazy people play computer for 48 hours they didn’t sleep. They always play computer; therefore, they don’t care study. Indeed, toys can influence our children. Also there are two ways, one is right way, the other is wrong way.
